He addressed the media saying that Siddaramaiah will take a ‘right decision at the right time’, which has led to many theories being speculated. Yeddyurappa’s statement came just a day after Siddaramaiah in a vague but politically loaded remark said, "They teamed up like Rahu, Ketu and Shani to defeat me in Chamundeshwari."

Siddaramaiah, who is from the Congress party, did not specify who he was talking about but said that he lost the election from Chamundeshwari since there were some jealous politicians who did not him to become chief minister yet again.

Siddaramaiah lost the Chamundeshwari seat to the JD(S)’s GT Deve Gowda. He, however, won from the Badami and the Congress and the JD(S) later went on to form a coalition government in Karnataka, with the JD(S)’s HD Kumaraswamy becoming chief minister.

Reacting to Siddaramaiah’s comment, BS Yeddyurappa said, "Both the Congress and the JD(S), especially the JD(S), conspired against Siddaramaiah and ensured his defeat [in Chamundeshwari] by fielding [GT] Deve Gowda."

"The JD(S) shouldn’t have fielded Deve Gowda from the constituency. Siddaramaiah was the chief minister then and he was made to suffer a humiliating defeat. They all got together and humiliated him. It’s very surprising that he is still in the Congress despite suffering such humiliations," Yeddyruappa also said.
