Jilted lover set a minor ablaze in Hyderabad

Mar 28, 2018: The girl has suffered 70 per cent burn injuries and admitted to hospital where she is struggling for life while the alleged attacker who is also a minor and has surged injuries detained by police.

According to the 17-year-old girl native of Golbaka of Amberpet police limits of Hyderabad was allegedly set on fire by the accused who was known to her after an altercation at her home on Tuesday.

Girl and her family alleged that accused was harassing her for past several months the accused was chasing her and forcing for marriage however they never alerted police about it.

On Tuesday around 2PM the accused reached to the victim’s house after finding her along where an argument broke out which lead to the accused setting her on fire.

Police has registered a case under 307 IPC and detained the accused who has suffered 10 per cent burn injuries while police has also recorded statement of the victim in front of magistrate as her condition is critical.
