Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar’s chopper suffers bird hit, lands at Bengaluru’s HAL airport

Bengaluru, May 02, 2023: The chopper carrying Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar opted for an emergency landing at Bengaluru’s HAL airport after suffering a bird hit.

 

According to sources, the chopper took off from Jakkur at 12 pm and was en route to Mulbagilu near Kolar.

They said an eagle collided with the chopper in mid-air near Hoskote, 40 km away from the HAL airport, breaking the helicopter’s windshield.

However, no casualties have been reported.

The senior Congress leader took part in the party’s manifesto unveiling event at a Bengaluru hotel in the morning and then left for poll rallies.
