C Shivamurthy said, "I met Revannasiddappa during one of our public events. He enticed me by promising a BJP ticket and kept persuading me until I agreed. He introduced me to Shekar, and the duo introduced me to BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel. After that, they took money from me in eight installments from around August 2022 until the BJP candidate list was released in 2023."

An FIR has been registered against Revannasiddappa and NP Shekar under sections 420, 505, and 34. According to the complainant, the duo are from the BJP.

Shivamurthy filed the complaint on Thursday (October 19), after a delay of six months.

He has stated that he had been waiting for the duo to return his money as his promise was not fulfilled. Upon not receiving it, he has now filed a complaint.

Shivamurthy said, "They told me that they knew all the top leaders of the BJP and had influence over who gets a ticket. I kept asking them to return my money. After a point, they stopped receiving my calls. I had no choice but to file a complaint."

The elderly man has also written a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seeking justice.
