Bengaluru, Aug 13, 2015: Four officials of the Karnataka government, including the personal assistant of a minister in the Siddaramaiah Cabinet, have been arrested by the Kolhapur police in Maharashtra for attending a rave party with prostitutes.
In all, nine people, including the kingpin of a local prostitution racket, are behind bars. All the 9 have been remanded in judicial custody by a local court. The rave party was organized at a private farm in Injole village in Kolhapur district.
The arrested are Kiran Singh Rajput (42), who is the PA of the minister; Nagaraj Hanumanthaiah, who works in the secretariat; Hemanth Rame Gowda, Arun M from the Education Department and five others, including the lady, who supplied prostitutes to the party.
It is said that the rave party was a return favor to the minister’s PA by a contractor for getting his work done. As they did not want to party in Karnataka, the same was hosted in Maharashtra.
