Bengaluru, Jan 17, 2022: The Karnataka government’s move to construct a Sanskrit university in Magadi in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district has been opposed by Kannada activists on Twitter. The hashtag ‘say no to sanskrit’ is trending on Twitter.

 

The Basavaraj Bommai-led state government’s move to construct a Sanskrit university is facing a heavy backlash. Kannada activists are against allocating Rs 359 crore for this project.

Activists took to the social media platform Twitter, urging the government to withdraw this decision.
