Bengaluru, February 1, 2025: Simultaneous raids by the Karnataka Lokayukta on Friday revealed Rs 18.45 crore worth of assets disproportionate to the income of seven government officials.
More than 27 places belonging to seven government officials were raided: two each in Bengaluru and Belagavi, and one each in Chitradurga, Raichur and Bagalkot.
The officials who were raided and the disproportionate assets to their income were as follows: Madhav Rao, Assistant Executive Engineer, Engineering Division, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Hebbal Sub-Division, Bengaluru (Rs 8,57,97,200); T K Ramesh, Deputy Secretary, Zilla Panchayat, Bengaluru Rural (Rs 2,21,56,918); K C Shashidhar, Manager, District Backward Classes Welfare Department, Chitradurga (Rs 1,78,25,839); Sachin Basavant Manded alias Mandedar, FDA, Sub-Registrar office, Belagavi North (Rs 2,50,12,559); Sanjay Annappa Durgannavar, Veterinary Inspector, Veterinary Dispensary Clinic, Nilaji, Raibag taluk, Belagavi (Rs 74,07,514); Shivalingaiah Panchaksharaiah Hiremath, PDO, Hulageri Gram Panchayath, Badami taluk, Bagalkot (Rs 1,43,45,630); and Narasinga Rao Gujjar, Assistant Account Officer, Zilla Panchayath Office, Raichur (Rs 1,20,48,182).
