New Delhi, Jun 12, 2021: A major fire broke out inside showrooms at the Lajpat Nagar Central Market in South Delhi on Saturday. Reportedly, 30 fire tenders and more than 70 firefighters have been deployed at the site to douse the fire.
Reportedly, the Delhi Fire Services received a call about the incident at around 10:20 AM, following which ambulances and fire tenders were rushed to the spot where Batla Handloom, Sangam Saree and Raymond Retail were among the showrooms that came under fire.

“A major fire has occurred in Lajpat Nagar area, total 30 fire tenders rushed, No causality reported so far. Fire in showrooms," Atul Garg, Delhi Fire Services Chief, said.
Visuals from the spot showed how dark clouds of smoke engulfed the area. The rescue officials are trying to find out if anyone is stuck inside the showrooms.
