Mumbai, Nov 26: A major fire broke out today at the Sara-Sahara and Manish markets on the Mohammad Ali Road in Mumbai.
The fire, which broke out in the wee hours today, reportedly originated from the Sahara Mall in the area and spread to the markets in the vicinity. The markets, which are near the famous Crawford Market in south Mumbai, have nearly 300 electronic and cosmetic shops. Most of the shops are feared to have been destroyed in the fire.
Around 20 fire tenders are trying to douse the flames. While the blaze in the Sahara market has been brought under control, efforts are still on to contain the fire in Manish market. There are no reports of anyone injured or dead in the fire.
