Make terrorists realise the pain they inflict: Manohar Parrikar to soldiers

New Delhi, Jan 11, 2015: In a pep talk, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday made it clear to the armed forces personnel that the nation respects martyrs but it needs them to stay alive and fight the enemy.

Speaking at the 66th Army Day celebrations in Delhi, Parrikar said that every single soldier’s death pains him a lot.

“I get pained when my soldiers die,” the minister said.

He, however, stated, “Sacrifice is always respected, but nation needs you to neutralise the enemy.”

“If those who damage you don’t realise the pain they inflict, then they won’t change,” Parrikar added.
