Malur sub-inspector Raghavendra commits suicide with service revolver

Bengaluru, October 18, 2016: Raghavendra, a sub-inspector in Karnataka’s Malur, has committed suicide at his police station. He shot himself with his service revolver.

 

The reason for his taking this extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

GAMBLING CASE

Initial reports say that Raghavendra had a Lokayukta case filed against him. A complaint was lodged against him in a gambling case.

A few days ago, a local resident of Malur had threatened to file a case against him which he (Raghavendra) had discussed with his brother. A 
suicide note was found near his body in which he said that nobody was responsible for his death.
