Man arrested for making hoax bomb call to Hyderabad airport to delay flight

Hyderabad, Feb 20, 2023: Panic erupted at the Hyderabad airport after a bomb threat call was received on Monday. Fearing that he would miss the flight, a passenger who was travelling to Chennai from Hyderabad made a bomb threat call to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

 

Following the bomb threat call, airport security immediately checked the flight and evacuated all the passengers onboard.

They then learned that the hoax call was made by a passenger who was running late to catch the Chennai-bound flight.

According to the police, the accused has been identified and taken into custody. Criminal action will be initiated against him, police said.
