Thiruvanantapuram, Feb 02, 2022: The mandatory quarantine for expatriates staying less than one week in Kerala has been lifted on Wednesday, February 2. Health Minister Veena George said that they should undergo a test on arrival instead.
Veena George added that the Covid cases in Kerala are expected to take a dip later this month.
On January 31, the Kerala government decided to continue with the current restrictions, including total lockdown on Sundays as the state witnessed a slight dip in new Covid cases. The decision was taken during a review meeting. No new restrictions were announced.
Kerala registered 51,887 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
