Ahmedabad, April 14: Two earthquakes, measuring 4.5 and 5 on the Richter scale rocked the western Indian region on Saturday morning. Mild tremors measuring 4.5 shook the Rapar Taluka area of Kutch district in Gujarat.
The tremors were felt in some towns of Saurashtra as well.
Meanwhile, Mumbai, Pune, Konkan, Satara, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Raigad and other parts of western Maharashtra reported mild tremors on Saturday morning. The tremors measured 5 on the Richter scale.
There have been no reports of damage so far.
Twitter was abuzz with remarks on the earthquake. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, "Earthquake in Mumbai!! Did you feel it... I did! Shutters and building shook twice for few seconds... All good here... all else?"
