Mukesh Ambani announces launch of Jio phone

Bengaluru, Jul 21 2017, DH: Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani today announced the launch of "Jio Phone" with an affordable price with 4G feature.

Addresing the company’s 40th Annual General Meet (AGM), Mukesh said that with the launch of his telecom venture Jio, India has overtaken US and China in mobile usage.

"In just 6 months of Jio launch, data consumption in India went to 120 cr GB a month, from 20 cr GB. It has 125 million customers today, added 7 customers per second every single day," said Mukesh, who says that he is committed to provide affordable data and devices.
