Mumbai: 4 dead after speeding car rams into pavement at Crawford Market

Mumbai, Sep 01,2020:    our people were killed and four others left injured after a speeding car rammed into the pavement outside the Café Janata restaurant near Mumbai’s Crawford Market on Monday.

 

The speeding car rammed into a group of people who were sitting outside the restaurant on the footpath. The incident took place at around 9.15 pm.

A police team reached the spot soon after the accident and all injured were rushed to the nearby JJ Hospital. The driver of the car was also injured in the accident and taken to the hospital. No one else was in the car.

Initially it was reported that five people had been injured in the crash but later authorities confirmed that four people were mowed down by the speeding vehicle and four others were injured.

According to registration details, the white Esteem VXI car involved in the incident belongs to one Jyoti Babariya, a Mumbai resident.
