Mumbai-Pune Expressway accident kills 17, injures 30

Mumbai, june 05, 2016; An unfortunate incident has claimed 17 lives on Sunday morning.

 

At least 17 people died after a bus crashed into two cars and fell into a 20-feet deep ditch on Mumbai-Pune expressway. Around 33 were left injured.

The deceased include 13 males and four females.

What led to the accident?

The driver of a swift desire car was changing a punctured tyre and an Innova stopped to help him.

Tragedy struck when a bus coming from Satara collided with both the cars and then fell into a 20 feet ditch on the left side of the road.

The injured were immediately rushed to the MGM hospital in Panvel.
