Mumbai woman wins Rs. 5 crore on Kaun Banega Crorepati

Mumbai, Jan 5, 2012: 37-year-old Surmeet Kaur Sawhney becomes the second contestant to win Rs. 5 crore on the latest season of the popular game show ’Kaun Banega Crorepati’. She is a housewife who resides in Mumbai.

Hosted by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan since 2000 the show which is an offshoot of UK’s ’Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ has been one of the most watched game shows on TV.

Earlier, Bihar’s Sushil Kumar, made headlines when he became the first contestant to win Rs.5 crore. Before his big win on KBC, he used to work as a computer operator and tutor, earning a meagre Rs.6,000 per month.
