Mysuru, Sep 03, 2018 : A student who lost hair after hair straightening committed suicide by jumping into Lakshmana Theertha River last Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Neha Gangamma (19), a native of Kodagu District, who was staying in Mysuru as a paying guest. Her body was found in the river at Nittur. She was studying BBA at a private college in the city. She had been to college from Coorg PG, where she was staying on August 28 but didn’t return. The PG owner Cariyappa filed a complaint at Jayalakshmipuram Police Station.
According to sources, she had got her hair straightened at Rohini Beauty Zone but unfortunately, she lost hair and was not ready to go to the college. Her parents tried to console and asked her to start going to the college. She was so depressed by the hair fall, she committed suicide on August 28. Her parents have registered a complaint against Rohini’s Beauty zone.
