PM Modi Lays Temple Corridor Foundation in Varanasi

Mar 8,2019 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, 8 March, arrived in his constituency Varanasi to lay the foundation stone of Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor.

 

 


Later in the day, the PM will visit Kanpur and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh to unveil multiple development projects for the state. While laying the foundation stone the PM said, “Vishwanath Dham is a project I’ve been thinking about for a long time. I’ve come to Kashi even before I was in active politics. Since then I would think that one must do something for the Temple Complex.”

“Kashi Vishwanath Mahadev Temple is the place of faith of millions of people. People come here so much that they have tremendous reverence for Kashi Vishwanath,” he added.

The PM is also slated to attend and address a public gathering at the National Women Livelihood Meet-2019 at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul.

According to a government release, in Kanpur, he will unveil the Panki Power Plant, a 660 megawatt electricity generation and distribution unit. The prime minister will also inaugurate a section of the the Lucknow Metro Rail through video link.

Besides, he will lay the foundation stone for Agra Metro Rail Project and also address a gathering on this occasion, the release said.
