Jammu & Kashmir, June 13, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and other senior officials to review the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, which has witnessed a series of terror attacks in the past few days.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was given a comprehensive overview of the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, including the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
The Prime Minister directed officials present at the meeting to deploy the full spectrum of the country’s counter-terror capabilities to restore peace in the Valley.
PM Modi also spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed the deployment of security forces and counter-terror operations.
Sinha also briefed the Prime Minister on the efforts being undertaken by local administration.
Meanwhile, massive search operations were launched by security forces in forest belts of different districts of Jammu and Kashmir to track down and neutralise the ultras involved in the recent terror attacks in the Union Territory.
