Meanwhile, Pakistan has suspended the bus service between Poonch and Rawalakot two days after stopping cross-LoC trade at Chakkan da Bagh checkpost.

In Islamabad, Pakistan summoned the Indian ambassador  today to protest against the death of a Pakistani soldier in firing by Indian troops near Poonch.

Pakistan said the soldier, a havildar in the army,  was killed on Thursday in Battal area of Tattapani sector.

It was the fourth death reported in five days  near the Line of control.
Pakistan alleged that the havildar  died as a result of “unprovoked” fire from India, but Indian army spokesman said, it was Pakistan which opened fire on Thursday afternoon, and the Indian army gave a "measured reponse".

The United States has urged both India and Pakistan to cool tension along the LoC.

On Tuesday two Indian soldiers belonging to the 13 Rajputana Rifles were brutally killed and beheaded by Pakistani troops near Mendhar.
