Pakistan plane with 47 on board crashes near Abbottabad

Pakistan, Dec 07. 2016 : A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Chitral to Islamabad reportedly crashed near the city of Abbottabad in the country’s north, the media reported on Wednesday.

 

According to initial reports, there were 47 people on board the ATR plane. PIA spokesperson Daniyal Gilani earlier told the media that flight PK-661 had disappeared from air control radar while flying from Chitral in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province to Islamabad.

The plane had crashed in the northern region, Reuters quoted a regional police official as saying.
