Parameshwara to resign as Home Minister; continue as Pradesh Congress President

New Delhi, May 31 2017 (DHNS): G Parmeshwara will resign as the Home Minister but has given extension as Karnataka Pradesh Congress President. As per the announcement made by the Congress High Command here on Wednesday.

Former Minister and senior Congress leader S R Patil has been appointed as the party working president in addition to Dinesh Gundurao.

Power Minister DK Shivkumar will be Chairman of Campaign Committee for Karnataka Assembly polls, which is scheduled in March-April

Former Union Minister K H Muniyappa made special invitee to Congress Working Committee, while former Minister Satish Jarkiholi appointed AICC Secretary.

The Karnataka assembly elections will be fought under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s leadership, said a statement from the Congress.
