Pregnant woman crushed under tractor by loan recovery officials in Jharkhand

Hazaribagh, Sep 17, 2022: A pregnant woman was allegedly crushed under a tractor by officials of a finance company who came to recover the tractor in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh on Friday.

 

The victim is the daughter of a farmer. Officials of a popular finance company went to the farmer’s house to recover the tractor without his information. An argument broke out between the daughter and the officials, after which she came in front of the tractor.

The officials allegedly mowed her down under the tractor. According to a relative of the victim, the woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.

According to Hazaribagh SP, Manoj Ratan Chothe, “After officials from the finance company reached a farmer’s home to recover the tractor argument broke between them in which his daughter was hit by a tractor and died. A murder case has been filed in the matter.”

The police official further added that the officials of the finance company did not inform the local police station before going to the residence of the victim for the recovery of the tractor.
