Bengaluru, Oct 29, 2021: Kannada film star Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away in Bengaluru on Friday, October 29, at the age of 46 after suffering a cardiac arrest, was also known for his charity. The Power Star had last year donated Rs 50 lakh to the CM Relief Fund to help the state in its fight against Covid-19.
The year before, he donated Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Natural Calamity Relief Fund to aid North Karnataka flood victims suffering in the unprecedented floods.

According to a Times of India report, Puneeth Rajkumar had decided to donate his eyes like his late father Dr Rajkumar.
In an interview published in TOI in 2013, he had said that his remuneration for singing for songs that are not made by his family’s production house goes to charity. Puneeth, in fact, has a list of Kannada-medium schools that he regularly makes donations to in the form of these fees, the report said.
