Ranjit Kumar, Solicitor General of India, resigns

Oct 20 2017DH Web: The Solicitor General of India, Ranjit Kumar, has tendered his resignation today, citing personal reasons.

Ranjit Kumar was appointed SG in 2014 by the Narendra Modi government, and had represented Jayalalitha in the disproportionate assets case.

Before him Attorney General Mukul Rohtagi also resigned citing personal reasons.
