Road rage: Woman journalist beaten up in Delhi

New Delhi, April 15, 2015: In yet another case of road rage, a woman journalist and her friend from a private TV channel were beaten up in Mayur Vihar in New Delhi.

According to reports, the journalist and her friend had a narrow escape when a dumper overtook their Maruti Alto while they were returning home after finishing their night shift on Wednesday morning.

Soon after the incident, a white Scorpio coming from the wrong side hit the journalist’s Alto which led to a heated exchange of words between the two.

If that wasn’t enough, the driver of the dumper which had overtaken the journalist’s car earlier too arrived on the scene and joined the argument. Things got out of hand when the dumper and Scorpio drivers began physically assaulting the journalist and her colleague.


According to the woman journalist, the police refused to lodge a case on the basis of the woman journalist’s complaint, instead they want her male colleague to lodge the FIR.

The police are now trying to nab the two miscreants on the basis of the two photos the woman journalist had taken of the Scorpio’s driver and the vehicle’s number plate.
