Scarlett Keeling case: Goa court acquits both accused

Sep 23, 2016: The Goa Court on Friday acquitted two men accused of rape and murder of British teenager Scarlett Keeling in 2008, according to reports.

Scarlett’s mother, Fiona MacKeown, expressed shock over the verdict. She said: "I am devastated by the verdict".

Scarlett Keeling was allegedly raped and murdered by two local men in 2008.

Several weeks after the attack, accused D’Souza and Carvalho were arrested by the poice.
