The case happened in The Close North Society of Nirvana Country in Gurugram. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed near the lift of the society.

Varun Nath, a resident of The Close North Society, was coming down from 14th floor from the lift. During this, the lift stopped and he got stuck. For help, he informed the security guard Ashok through the intercom installed in the lift. Ashok reached the spot with a liftman with him. It took them five minutes to get Varun out of the lift. Angered by this, he started beating the security guard as soon as he came out of the lift.

Angered by this incident, all the security guards of the society are on a strike. Strict action was demanded against the accused.

It is clearly visible in the CCTV that Varun Nath lost his cool as soon as he came out of the lift and started slapping the security guard.

After the incident, all the security guards of the society stopped working. The security personnel said that they work hard day and night to provide their services to the society residents, but some society residents consider them as their slaves. They raised slogans demanding action against the accused Varun Nath.

"I helped him get out of the lift within 3-4 minutes. As soon as he got out, he started beating me up," guard Ashok Kumar said.

A police complaint was filed in the matter following which the Gurugram Police booked the accused Varun Nath under sections 323 (causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
