New Delhi, July 18, 2023: Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who illegally entered India to be with her lover Sachin Meena, is being questioned by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and UP Police. She is under investigation by the ATS and Intelligence Bureau (IB) over her possible link to Pakistan’s spy agency ISI.
During her questioning, Seema Haider revealed that her brother had joined the Pakistani Army but she wasn’t sure if he was still serving or had left the military.
While officials are trying to verify Seema’s statements, India Today spoke to her husband Ghulam Haider, who confirmed that Seema’s brother Asif and her uncle Ghulam Akbar are in the Pakistan Army. He said that he had met Seema’s brother Asif, who is posted in Karachi, and they often talked.
Ghulam also said that Seema’s uncle holds a high-ranking position in the Pakistan Army and is based in Islamabad.
PROBE ON SEEMA HAIDER
Seema Haider is on the radar of the ATS and IB over her possible connections with Pakistan’s intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Questions have also been raised over the authenticity of her Pakistani identity card. The ID card, which is typically obtained at birth, was issued on September 20, 2022.
The Uttar Pradesh ATS is investigating the delay in obtaining her Pakistani citizenship ID card. Investigations were also underway over her entry into India without a visa.
Seema Haider is now living with Sachin Meena in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district.
SEEMA HAIDER, SACHIN’S ’LOVE’ STORY
Seema Haider entered India along with her four children on a bus from Nepal in May in order to live with her 22-year-old partner Sachin Meena, who lives in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida.
The couple first got in touch in 2019 through PUBG.
On July 4, Seema Haider was arrested by local police for entering India illegally and Sachin Meena was held for sheltering illegal immigrants.
However, they were both granted bail by a local court on July 7 and have been living together with her four children in a house in the Rabupura area.
