Six boys arrested for gang-rape of minor girl in Karnataka’s Dharwad

Dharwad, Dec 27, 2021: The Karnataka police arrested six boys on charges of raping a minor girl in Dharwad district. The accused were produced before the court and have been remanded to judicial custody.

 

According to police, all six boys are minors and were involved in raping a 15-year-old girl and threatening her against filing a complaint.

All six accused allegedly raped the girl at different locations and blackmailed her against revealing the incident to her parents.

On December 26, the girl’s parents filed a police complaint and six boys were taken into custody from Laxmisingankeri in Dharwad district.

A medical examination was also conducted on the girl. The investigation team, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Anusha G, did not reveal the name of the accused as they are still minors.
