Lucknow, March 7, 2017: One suspected terrorist opened fire at security forces on Tuesday in Thakurganj area of Lucknow. The ’terrorist’ is suspected to be involved in Tuesday’s Ujjain-Bhopal train blast.
The Uttar Pradesh Anti Terror Squad cordoned off the densely populated area. A search operation is also underway and residents of the area have been asked to stay indoors during the operation.
In a press conference, ADG (Law & Order) Daljit Chaudhary said they had received inputs about presence of some suspects in Kanpur and Lucknow. “We got the input from outside the state.. Can’t say anything on what is the module ad which group he belongs to... Our focus is to catch him alive,” Chaudhary told ANI.
