Telugu actor Hema arrested in Bengaluru rave party bust case

Bengaluru, June 4, 2024: Telugu actor Hema, who had earlier tested positive for consumption of drugs during a rave party in Bengaluru, was arrested on Monday. She, initially, misled by claiming that she was not present at the rave party.

The actor received a notice after testing positive for drug consumption at a rave party. She was summoned to appear before the Anti-Narcotics Wing of Central Crime Branch (CCB).

The police sought an arrest warrant against the actor after she failed to comply with police questioning.

The CCB personnel, probing the rave party hosted at a GM farmhouse in Bengaluru, had already arrested six people in connection with the rave party bust that was held on May 20.

India Today had earlier accessed additional FIR copies detailing the major rave party bust near Electronics City. The FIR reveals that the party was attended by 73 men and 30 women.

The blood samples of 59 men tested positive for drugs while the blood samples of 27 women tested positive. Overall, 86 out of 103 individuals tested positive for drug use.

In their raid, the police seized MDMA (Ecstacy) pills, MDMA crystals, hydro cannabis, cocaine, high-end cars, DJ equipment, including sound and lighting worth Rs 1.5 crore were seized by the police.
