Terrorist killed in gunfight with security forces in J&K’s Pulwama

Pulwama, April 11, 2024: A gunbattle broke out between terrorists and security forces at Frasipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district in the wee hours of Thursday. One terrorist was killed during the gunfight.

 

The gunfight occurred in the Muraan area of the district after security forces received inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Following this, a brief exchange of fire took place.

Paramilitary personnel and Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off the area after the gunbattle broke out.

The gunfight came nearly a week after one terrorist was killed when the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Army sources said.
