New Delhi, May 02, 2023: A screening of ’The Kerala Story’ was organised at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University at 4 pm on Tuesday. The event, organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), triggered a protest by a left-wing student group.
Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story is set to be released in cinemas on May 5.
However, the movie is facing stiff resistance in Kerala, with several political parties opposing the release of this film. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has also slammed the makers of The Kerala Story, saying they were taking up the Sangh Parivar propaganda of projecting the state as a centre of religious extremism by raising the issue of ’love jihad’.
