Vedanti says he had asked karsevaks to demolish disputed structure

Lucknow, May 30, 2017 : Former BJP MP Ram Vilas Vedanti reiterated here on Tuesday that it was he, who had asked the thousands of ’karsevaks’ to demolish the disputed structure in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992, and not Advani, Joshi and others.

 

’’I am ready to face any punishment for doing so....I had told the CBI also that the charges against Advani and others are false,’’ Vedanti told reporters outside the special CBI court here.

Union minister Uma Bharti against whom conspiracy charges were framed on Tuesday said that she had no idea about any kind of conspiracy in the demolition.

Senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar, an accused in the case, said that Samajwadi Party (SP) patron Mulayam Singh Yadav, who had ordered the security personnel to open fire on karsevaks a year before the demolition, should also be proceeded against.

BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj said that a grand Ram Temple would be built in Ayodhya soon.
