When Karnataka CM bought water-proof saree for his wife

Bengaluru, January 20, 2016: Silk saree which costs close to RS 1.08 lakh was bought by the Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah for his wife Parvathi.

The CM shopped at the inauguration of the Karnataka silk industries corporation in Davanagere on Tuesday

The orange saree he bought was from the latest threads of gold collection unveiled by the government.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah asked for a litre of water and poured it on the saree to convince himself that it was truly waterproof and then finally he bought it.
