Sohna, June 20, 2017: In yet another incident highlighting the grim situation of the safety of women in the country, a woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car in Sohna, Haryana, before she was thrown out in Greater Noida.
Police have begun a probe into the incident. However, no FIR is lodged yet.
The woman was found lying on the road near Kasna police station at Greater Noida.
Police said a passer-by apprised them of the incident.
"We reached the spot and found the woman lying unattended. She has been admitted to Yatharth Hospital," The Times of India quoted a police official as saying.
According to the primary information, the woman, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, was in Sohna to meet meet a relative. At around 8-8:30 pm yesterday, some people, driving a Swift car, dragged her inside and raped her on the roads of Sohna.
The police took the victim for a medical examination.
According to them, the matter is being examined according to the information provided by the victim.
Meanwhile, a police team from Noida has been sent to Gurugram for further investigation.
