In a letter to Gowda, Yeddyurappa loyalists said it was reported in leading Kannada and English newspapers today that the Chief Minister and state BJP president K S Eshwarappa jointly made a written complaint to BJP National President Nitin Gadkari.

The complaint stated that some of the Ministers in Karnataka were involved in anti-party activities, resulting in defeat to the party in the recent Chikamagalore-Udupi Lok Sabha by poll and, thus, take disciplinary action against them.

"In the circumstances, we the undersigned Ministers/MLAs sincerely urge and request you to call for the Emergency Legislative Party Meeting to discuss this matter along with other important matters", said the letter, which contained 19 signatures, including that of Agriculture Minister Umesh V Katti.

The letter was made available to the media by Yeddyurappa.

Meanwhile, Gowda who continued review of various departments under his charge for the second consecutive day today, said he has not received any letter from MLAs seeking an emergent legislature party meeting.

Sources close to Gowda said the chief minister would continue the review of departments tomorrow.

Gowda has about 20 additional portfolios, apart from Finance, Urban Development and others.
