Yogendra Yadav beaten up, manhandled and arrested by police at farmers’ rally

Aug 11, 2015(DHNS): Activist and former Aam Aadmi Party member Yogendra Yadav was reportedly beaten up, manhandled and arrested by the Delhi police at the farmer’s rally held at Jantar Mantar last night.

 

Yogendra Yadav was detained at the police station for the whole night yesterday.

Following the incident, Yadav took to Twitter and posted a picture of himself, showing his torn sleeve.

Yogendra Yadav alleges that farmers were holding a peaceful protest at the Jantar Mantar when police cracked their whip on them.

On learning about the police crackdown, he had rushed to the spot. He was arrested from there along with the other protesters.
