‘Cong MLAs unhappy with Karnataka govt, may take decision soon’: Yeddyurappa

Mangalore Today News Network

Bengaluru, May 10, 2019 : Senior BJP leader and former chief minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa has claimed more than 20 legislators of the Congress are unhappy with the government in the state, hinting at probable desertion by them, Hindustan Times reported.

The Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) alliance government in the southern state has faced a turbulent time since it came to power in the state on May 23, 2018, after the state assembly elections.

“More than 20 Congress MLAs are not happy with the present government. They might take any decision at any time. Let us wait and see,” BS Yeddyurappa was quoted by news agency ANI as saying.

BS Yeddyurappa had claimed earlier in April that stalwarts of the Congress-JD(S)coalition would face defeat in the Lok Sabha election 2019, saying the internal rift between the partners has started once again and after the poll results are out the situation would worsen.

The outcome of the Lok Sabha election is crucial for the ruling Congress-JD(S) alliance as it would have a bearing on the fate of the coalition government, triggering the numbers game in the assembly.
