New Delhi, Sep 20, 2023: Terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, leader of the banned pro-Khalistan group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has threatened Indo-Canadian Hindus to leave the country and return to India.
In a video that has gone viral amid a massive diplomatic row between India and Canada, Pannun is seen saying, "Indo-Canadian Hindus, you have repudiated your allegiance to Canada and Canadian Constitution. Your destination is India. Leave Canada, go to India."
"Pro-Khalistan Sikhs have always been loyal to Canada. They have always sided with Canada and they have always upheld the laws and the Constitution," Pannun added.
The latest threat from Pannun comes just a day after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in a shock move, accused Indian government agents of a "potential link" to the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey in June.
Pannun, in the latest video, also urged all Canadian Sikhs to gather in Vancouver on October 29 for a referendum to vote if the Indian High Commissioner Verma was responsible for Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing.
Khalistani outfits have, in the past, organised referendums in Canada. India has repeatedly expressed concern over this issue and raised it with Canada. Khalistanis have also openly threatened Indian diplomats and leaders.
Over a week ago, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued threats against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, among other top leaders at a gathering in Canada.
In a video, he said, "G20 nations, when you will be meeting in Delhi on September 10, we will be organising a Khalistan referendum in Canada."
