Mumbai, Oct 29, 2023: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Saturday received another death threat from the same email account that had threatened him on Friday.

Earlier, Ambani received a death threat, demanding that he pay Rs 20 crore or else he would be killed. The threat was sent on Mukesh Ambani’s company email address by an unknown person.

The sender, this time, demanded Rs 200 crore and said that due to non-response to the previous email, the amount has been increased from Rs 20 crore to Rs 200 crore, said a police source.

The email read, “You have not responded to our email. Now the amount is Rs 200 crore, otherwise the death warrant is signed."

In the earlier threatening email, the sender had written, “If you don’t give us 20 crore rupees, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in India.”

After receiving that email, based on the complaint of Mukesh Ambani’s security in-charge, the police started investigations by registering an FIR against an unknown person under sections 387 (putting person in fear of death, in order to commit extortion) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
