New Delhi, Aug 09, 2023: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday, tore into the Narendra Modi government, saying its policies had "murdered Bharat Mata" in violence-hit Manipur, in his first speech since being reinstated as an MP.

 

Addressing the Lok Sabha during a debate on the no-confidence motion against the government over the violence in the northeastern state, Gandhi dubbed the the ruling BJP as "deshdrohi (traitors)", accusing the government of "dividing Manipur into two parts".
