1 dead, 2 injured in oxygen cylinder explosion in Kanpur

Kanpur, April 30, 2021:      One person died and two others were injured after an oxygen cylinder exploded during refilling at Kanpur’s Panki gas plant in the early hours of Friday.

The incident took place at 4:30 am when cylinders of the Royal Children Hospital were being refilled.

One employee of the gas plant identified as Murad Ali died in the incident.

Plant supervisor Ajay and Royal Children Hospital employee Hariom have been injured.

Hariom has been admitted to Royal Children Hospital for treatment.
