2 Air France Flights Heading From US to Paris Diverted

Paris N0v 18, 2015 : Two Air France flights that took off from the US on Tuesday were diverted over bomb threats, say reports.

 

The Federal Aviation Administration said the Air France Flight 65, headed from Los Angeles to Paris, was diverted to Salt Lake City because of a security incident. According to reports, a bomb threat was called in from the ground.

Another flight from Washington to Paris was diverted to an airport in Nova Scotia.

Both flights have landed safely.

On Friday, 129 people were killed in Paris as Islamic State gunmen targeted multiple sites including the Bataclan Theatre and the Stade de France.

A bomb threat yesterday forced German authorities to call off an international football match with Netherlands that was meant as a "symbol of freedom" after the Paris attacks and was to be attended by Chancellor Angela Merkel.
