The man has been identified as a tech professional named S Praveen from Madipakkam in Chennai.

The rave party he attended on Saturday was held at VR mall in Anna Nagar and organised by a company called Great Indian Gathering. DJ Night Eduardo Neto, also known as Mandragora, performed at the event.

The cops raided the party around 10 pm after they were alerted regarding the condition of the 23-year-old.

On raiding the party, the police found that liquor was being served without permission. Additionally, nearly 90 underage people were served alcohol.

The organisers purportedly used the liquor licence of another bar in the mall to serve alcohol. A total of 884 liquor bottles were seized and a case has now been registered. Further investigation is underway.
