Bhopal, June 19, 2023: Three people who held a Bhopal man on a leash and ordered him to bark like a dog were on Monday arrested under the stringent National Security Act (NSA). Their houses are also facing bulldozer action after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced strict action against the three.
Expressing his displeasure over the incident, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said that a bulldozer action will be initiated at the house of the three accused.
The chief minister’s reaction came after the video of the man being thrashed and made to act like a dog went viral on social media platforms.
A man was held on a leash and ordered to bark like a dog. In a 50-second viral video, a group of men are seen shouting at the man, saying "Kutta ban (Act like a dog). Bol Sahil bhai, sorry (Say sorry, Sahil)."
The family of the man has alleged that Sahil and his gang members forced him to consume drugs, eat meat and convert from his religion. They have also alleged that the victim was forced to rob his own house, adding that police did not file a complaint when the victim’s brother approached them.
