Mumbai, Jan 04, 2022: The Cordelia cruise ship, with 66 Covid patients, left from Mumbai without any positive passengers being taken to the isolation ward in Goa.
The people who were not affected were also not allowed to leave the ship. At present, all positive and negative people are on the ship.
The passengers also staged a protest inside the ship.
Jasveer Singh, a passenger, said he was extremely worried about the health of his children and brother who are also on the cruise. "Why were negative people not allowed to leave the ship? Why were Covid positive patients not taken to the quarantine or isolation ward in Goa itself? What if positive patients need medical help, who will provide them with medical help?" he asked.
"If one crew member could infect 66 people, now imagine what will happen to others when 66 people have tested positive," he said.
He said 66 people were roaming in the lobby area and, because of that, others would test positive as well.
He alleged that the Goa government and health officials were acting in a very careless and irresponsible manner and appealed for help.
" People on board the cruise ship are from India. They are not aliens, they are not from a different country. All the people on the cruise ship are Indians, please help them," he said.
